Top Lash Looks — NYFW S/S 2020

Building off of the unbelievable lashes from New York Fashion Week Fall 2019 — and legendary makeup artist, Pat McGrath’s pronouncement that “...it’s all about the lashes” — the runways at NYFW Spring/Summer 2020 did not disappoint in the lash department. From bold, bright looks, to bedecked eyes, the designers seemed to take a page from HBO’s Euphoria and use the eyes as the major makeup focal point.

We rounded up our three fave trends from NYFW S/S 2020 — and show you how to apply them to your sets like the #sugarlashsquad!

1. Big, Bold Cat Eye

From Phillip Lim to Christian Cowan, ultra-dark, ultra-dense cat eyes could be seen on every other model. A look that packs a ton drama along with surgical precision, this graphic look can be recreated using ultra-black Silk Lashes. While true Cat Eye lash styling should be applied only on ascending eyes (for more on this, see our LashSTYLE Online Course!), this look is all about the flick at the end!

2. Appliques

Sequins, studs, rhinestones, feathers, decals, even cucumber slices (no, we’re not joking — this spa staple was featured at Collina Strada) — if it could be glued on a face, it appeared on a model at this year’s Fashion Week. The rule? If it sticks on your face and/or sparkles, then you should add it to your collection stat, lest you be left behind. They’re a great way to jazz up a subtle lash set, like classic lashes using natural-looking Mink Lashes

3. Neon Brights

What did Oscar de la Renta, Ulla Johnson, and punk swimwear brand Chromat all have in common? High octane coloured eye makeup ruled the catwalks! Lucky for you, our Colour Lashes come in every shade imaginable, from bold pops of colour to subtle wisps — go ahead, pull out those fun coloured lash trays, and have some fun!
